Richard Drukker Memorial Scholarship for 2016

This scholarship – valued at $2,000 – was created by the family of Richard Drukker, former publisher of the Passaic Herald News. The Drukker endowment fund restricts the scholarships to Montclair State University journalism students.

The scholarship is open to any Montclair student who is a journalism minor and/or on the staff of The Montclarion. Students who received a New Jersey Press Foundation scholarship or internship last year are not eligible for this year's Drukker scholarship.

The scholarship will be presented at Montclair English Department's annual awards event in May.

Richard Drukker helped create New Jersey Press Foundation as a way of promoting journalism careers among talented young people in the state. As a trustee of the foundation, he was instrumental in forging a relationship with the New York Giants football club, which annually contributed to the foundation a portion of its income from a pre-season game.

The application deadline is Friday, April 1, 2016 at 3 p.m.
