Lloyd P. Burns New Media Internship for Summer 2015
New Jersey Press Foundation will offer a paid summer
internship to a college student who is interested in pursuing a journalism career
and want to explore new ways of communicating with readers.
Students who attend New Jersey colleges or who are New Jersey residents
currently enrolled at other U.S. colleges are invited to apply.
For summer 2015, one college student will be
selected to receive an internship to work in the newsroom of a NJPA member newspaper
or media company.
The recipient will receive a salary of $400 per week for
a minimum of eight weeks.
This
internship is made
possible because of grants to the Lloyd P. Burns
Memorial Scholarship Fund, which has been managed for more than 30 years by New
Jersey Press Foundation.
Burns was general manager of the New Jersey Press
Association from 1950 to 1976.
The application deadline is Tuesday, December 30,
2015.
