Isaac Roth
Media/Business Internship for Summer 2017
New Jersey Press Foundation offers a paid summer
internship to a college student who is interested in pursuing a career in media
business, circulation or distribution.
Students who attend New Jersey colleges or who are New Jersey residents
currently enrolled at other U.S. colleges are invited to apply.
For summer 2017, one college student will be
selected to receive an internship to work in the business, circulation or
distribution office of an NJPA member newspaper or media company. The recipient
will receive a salary of $400 per week for
a minimum of eight weeks.
This
internship is made
possible through a trust fund established in 1927 by the estate of Isaac Roth,
who was a former "news boy" selling newspapers for the now-defunct Newark
Daily News. The trust fund was transferred to New Jersey Press
Foundation in 1983.
The application deadline is January 16, 2017.
The
application form
for the 2017 Issac Roth Media/Business Internship is available now.
